Feed the Children is a program which started as a partnership between Kensington Community Church in Troy, MI and Grace Evangelical Church (African Christian Ministries) in Empangeni, South Africa. The kids involved in this program are some of the sweetest, most innocent and well behaved kids you could ever see. They literally walk miles to school...barefoot, sometimes in the rain, just to learn (it sounds like Grandpa's old cliche but it's true). Some days they go without food and it's just heartbreaking. We decided to do everything we can to help support this program which tries to feed the kids one solid meal per day consisting of rice, meat, and vegetables. The program also supports a garden project which is a garden tended to by the locals for the purpose of providing food to families where the parents have been either infected or killed by aids.
