Dear friends, family, clients, etc,
We hope this letter finds you all doing well! This newsletter and most future ones will probably be a lot more laid back than the last few...not as much world travelling...that's for sure!!

Our wedding season kicked off strong and we are now halfway through. Our weekends this year have been filled with great people, new friends, beautiful churches, luxurious venues, heartfelt speeches, stunning brides, yummy food, etc. etc. etc!!! It's been a great first half of the season and we're excited for the second half. |

The high school senior season is now underway as well, so between that and weddings, we're definitely keeping busy!
We've been having a great time meeting new kids and finding fun new places to shoot pictures.
If you know anyone that wants something unique for their senior pics, please send them to our website:

I have been spending some more time playing with a combination of Corel Painter and Photoshop and some of the images are turning out really cool. We're hoping to soon offer an "artists" package that will consist of a selection of painted art pieces. Here are just a few that I did recently with some close-ups. |

On a personal note, everything is going really well with both of us. Cheridy's pregnancy is coming along great too. We had a hospital scare a few weeks ago, but everything turned out just fine and the baby is doing well.
We feel so blessed to be in this phase of our lives. We were able to spend the last six years together, building the foundation of our marriage, travelling the world, creating a business, etc. etc. and now we get to have a baby together!! How cool is that!!
Next weekend is our ONLY weekend off this summer, so we're hoping to do something relaxing. As much as we love shooting, it will be nice to have a few days off too!!

2007 Summer Contest Winner
The winner of our first annual contest is the Wilson Family. They had some really fun ideas for a photo shoot with their family involving a slip and slide and shaving cream.

Our condo in Warren has STILL not sold. If any of you have bulletin boards at work, we are asking that you do us a huge favor and print the advertisement at the link below and hang them at your office building. We would REALLY appreciate that!! If we can't sell it soon, we will be forced to try and rent it out but that would be a last resort. It's been on sale for almost 18 months now...aaaacckkkk!!!

An educational blurb for aspiring photographers:
When taking photos, it is easiest to get the most pleasing color from your
images which you have a light source with one color. Each type of light source gives off a different color. Regular light bulbs have an orangy color, flourescent is greenish, outoor light from a window is bluish, etc. etc. It is very difficult to get really nice color when you mix light sources. If you have only one light source, you can set the white balance on your camera to match that light source and then your camera will take much more pleasing photos. To learn more about white balance, click here:

The next beginners class will start at the end of September and more info will be in the next newsletter.
