Dear friends,
Well it's the time of the year again where life gets a bit crazy for us. We still have one more weekend off before the bulk of our shooting season really gets going.
We hope that everyone receiving this is doing great!!
Life has been good for us. We're very blessed to be able to be at home with our little boy and watch him grow. My favorite thing is listening to Cheridy play with him while he snickers and giggles. He's growing bigger and more interactive everyday.
You can find more photos of Mayz here.
The last few months we've been taking care of lots of administrative things including some website updates along with creating training videos for Photoshop and other software. I've also spent a lot of time enhancing our educational materials for clients so we now have more detailed information packets to give out to clients interested in hiring us for portraits.
It's nice to get all that stuff done, but we're looking forward to the nice weather and more photo shoots!

At the end of March we had the opportunity to shoot a wedding in Colorado which was a fun and unique opportunity for us since we usually don't do too many destination weddings. We spent some time with Sarah and Ethan the day before the wedding to go around Golden and Morrison, CO to do some fun photos with them.

After that we stayed for a little while longer to enjoy Colorado, but we ran into a lot of snow, bad weather, and closed roads. After having a long string of bad luck out there we changed our flights and came home early. We did get to enjoy some nice weather in Breckenridge on our last day there. The good news is that this was Mayz' first plane ride and he did awesome!!

A few weeks after Colorado, I had the chance to go with a group of 40 guys from my church out to Zion National Park in Utah for a long weekend of camping, hiking, fellowship, and enjoying nature. Zion is one of my favorite parks in the United States and one of those places that you must see!
Any orders placed from our Utah gallery will receive 25% off through the end of May.

As the weather started to get warmer, we ended up doing a whole bunch of engagement shoots. This is the perfect time of year for that because the temperatures are great without being too hot and sticky like the middle of the summer gets. For anyone that hasn't booked their engagement shoot yet, give us a call and lets get it scheduled over the next couple weeks!!

Business News
A few days ago we hired our good friend Curtis Wiklund to come and work with us for the summer. We shot Curtis' senior pictures a few years ago and know him from our church. He's currently going to UofM for his bachelor in Fine Arts, so he'll be with us while he's home for the summer to help me out with processing and editing jobs. We just started his training and look forward to working with him this summer. He's one of the most creative young people that we know, so we're really excited to have him on board!

I recently completed a series of mini-reviews of local wedding reception venues to act as an aid for future brides and grooms.
Anyone interested in that can find it on our blog here:

At the end of winter we had a promotion where we went out and shot photos of kids in their homes. We had a lot of fun doing that. Below are some photos that came from the shoot with the Giovanelli kids.
Now that the weather is nicer, we'll be starting a new promo for outdoor shoots. Keep an eye on your inbox if that might interest you...details coming soon.

Our featured shoot for this newsletter was just a few days ago with the O'Connor family. Every year they come to get their daughter photographed. This is the third year that we've photographed them. It's so cool to see the progression from one year to the next. Here's little Fallon at one year, two years, and three years.
